Visual and Performance Arts in Baldwinsville, New York

Friday, October 20th & Saturday, October 21st
We are excited to finally present the 5th Annual Ghost Walk. This annual tradition is one of our most popular events and after a long two year absence we are excited to bring it back. As always, the tour features ghost stories told at eight spots around the village and performed for you by live actors and narrated by tour guides.

The tour launches from Baldwin Canal Square on the River (Denio Street) behind the Bville Diner and next to WT Brews. See map.

By popular demand, these stories are more scary, more spooky, and ton more creepy than in year's past. This year's Ghost Walk will reach back into past and remind us all that the earliest occupants of this land we now call Baldwinsville warned newcomers of the ancient evil inhabiting the surrounding woods that feeds on the dark heart's of men. Many a local can tell you of the legends of the Witch of Whiskey Hollow and many more can share a story or two of their own frightening encounters. A guide will lead each tour group stopping to be chilled at each location along the Ghost Walk route. Tours leave every 15 minutes from under the big tent in Baldwin Canal Square. The total walking time for each is approximately 75 minutes to make all eight stops. Complimentary donuts and cider are available while you wait.

*Due to the intense scary nature of these stories and the creepy atmosphere created by the actors, this event is not appropriate for children under 11.

We look forward to scaring you then.

Ghost Walk Tour Guides Needed

Volunteer and experience the Ghost Walk for free!
We are asking Ghost Walk tour guides to commit to at least TWO 75 minute tours. As such, a minimum of nine tour guides are required for each night of performance but as we mentioned more are always welcome. Ideally, we would like guides to do 2 back to back tours and that includes a 30 minute break in between. Of course, you’re welcome to split volunteer time over multiple days.

Tour guides receive a bonus incentive for their participation. In addition to free volunteer admission, we are offering one free companion ticket if you would like someone to accompany you during your tours and up to three 25% discounted Ghost Walk tickets.

We will be providing tour guide training again this year. There are two dates scheduled from which to choose, Wednesday evening October 11th at 7:00pm or Sunday, October 15th at 11am. The trainees will walk the tour route to become familiar with the locations, given instruction on tour group etiquette, and be briefed on the context of each story setting as well as it historical ties to the community.

Calling All Ghosts!

Baldwinsville Ghost Story Contest: Details Click Here
Tell us about the ghosts you've encountered in your Baldwinsville home. We know that the homes in the village have many secrets to share.

And no worries, the location of your home can remain anonymous.

The Baldwinsville Center for the Arts staff wants to believe. Don't be afraid. Let us be the judge. All submissions will be read and a winner will be chosen shortly after the contest deadline. The winner will receive 2 complimentary tickets to attend and have the honor of having their ghost story performed this October as part of the annual upcoming Ghost Walk.

Arts Festival Dates will be announced soon.

The Baldwinsville Center for the Arts is sponsoring our 4th Annual Arts Festival featuring Art Walk 2024 along historic Oswego Street in the village of Baldwinsville. Come shop the many artist vendors that will be displaying their talents or stop by just to hear the music. There will be plenty of both. Along with the artists, the festival will be featuring multiple performances from various musicians at two locations along the walk.

Additionally, food vendor trucks this year will make it easier for you to eat during the festival. Snack foods, cookies and cotton candy will be available to purchase under the main tent. Also, don't forget you can buy a few Baldwinsville Arts reusable grocery bags while you're there. Your purchases help fund our charitable organization and bring events like this one to the community.

Registration for this event will open after December15, 2023.
